About the WEDA L80N

The Atlas Copco WEDA L80N is a 20 HP submersible slurry pump for dredging, settling ponds and other abrasive liquid-and-solids duties. A high-chrome agitator helps keep the solids stirred into the water, while the impeller and wear plates resist wear from the mixture passing through. It provides higher flow and head limits than the L70N, with a smaller motor than the L95N. Its three-phase supply, discharge connection and pump weight also matter when fitting the unit into an existing slurry installation or planning a new one.

How the WEDA L80N compares

The 20 HP L80N sits between the 14.8 HP WEDA L70N and the 50 HP WEDA L95N. Maximum flow rises from 530 gpm to 790 gpm to 1,190 gpm, while head limits increase from 81 ft to 103 ft to 168 ft. The L95N offers more flow and lift, but also requires a much larger motor than the L80N in the WEDA pump range.

Questions about the WEDA L80N

How much flow and head does it have?

The L80N reaches 790 gpm maximum flow and 103 ft maximum head. Maximum flow and maximum head are not reached at the same time, so use the curve to check the flow at your required lift.

What handles the abrasive material?

A high-chrome impeller and wear plates resist abrasion from the slurry. The high-chrome agitator helps keep solids suspended so they can travel through the pump with the water.

How heavy is it, and what discharge does it use?

The L80N weighs 689 lb, has a 4 inch discharge and requires three-phase power. Check the electrical supply and room for the discharge line before installation.
