Need a Mattei part that isn’t a kit?

In our experience, the Mattei parts requests we see most are electrical — contactors, switches and controls — rather than the compression end. They are also the parts that are hardest to identify from a description.

Send us three things: the compressor model, the serial number from the nameplate, and the part number from the old part or the manual if you have it. That is the fastest way to get the right genuine part and avoid a wrong order.

Which Mattei maintenance kit do I need?

It depends on the compressor model and where it is in its service schedule. The kit tables above list each family’s kits by letter with the price. If you’re not sure which one is due, send the model and serial number and we’ll tell you which kit matches.

How do I find the model and serial number on a Mattei compressor?

Look for the nameplate on the machine and note the model and serial number. One thing to know: Mattei model numbers are in kW, not HP — a Blade 11 is a 15 HP machine, a Blade 22 is 30 HP. If you can’t find the plate, call us and we’ll help you locate it.

What is the difference between ERC, Blade, RVD, RVX, Maxima and Optima?

They are Mattei’s rotary vane families by size. ERC and Blade cover the smaller machines (ERC is direct drive; Blade comes belt-driven up to 15 HP and direct-drive above that). RVD covers the middle range and RVX the larger one, and Maxima and Optima are the biggest. An “i” in the name, as in Blade i or RVD i, means variable speed (VSD); Optima is variable speed as well. Tell us your air demand and we’ll point you to the right one.

Do the product pages have datasheets?

Most Mattei compressor pages carry the manufacturer datasheet as a PDF, which has the capacity, pressure and power figures. A few families (Blade s, ERC 1/2 and ERC 1030 – 2045) don’t have a current datasheet from Mattei, so ask us for the specs on those.

Can you quote a Maxima or Optima, or a configuration that isn’t listed?

Yes. Heat-recovery, water-cooled and other configurations are handled by quote. Give us the HP, voltage and what the plant needs and we’ll price the exact machine.

What if the part I need isn’t listed?
